Paul Simon: Salvation Pursued Musically

The New York Times has published a review of Paul Simon’s May 10th show at the Beacon Theatre, calling the concert “marvelous: brisk and unsinkable, smartly balanced, deftly paced.” The newspaper added, “Few songwriters of his caliber have his intuitive command as a bandleader, and his eight-piece backing group — well stocked with longtime associates like the bassist Bakithi Kumalo, the keyboardist Tony Cedras, the guitarist Vincent Nguini and the percussionist Jamey Haddad — projected a vigorous poise.”
